Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb Beef stew meat cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 cup Barley
  • 2 cups Beef broth
  • 1 cup Diced carrots
  • 1 cup Diced celery
  • 1 cup Diced onions
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 tsp Salt to taste
  • 1/2 tsp Black pepper to taste

Instructions: 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large skillet, brown the beef over medium-high heat.
  • Add the onions, carrots, celery, and garlic. Cook until vegetables are tender.
  • Stir in the barley, beef broth, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil.
  • Transfer the mixture to a casserole dish. Cover and bake for 1 hour and 30 minutes, or until the barley is tender.
  • Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
