Instructions:
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a skillet, cook sausage over medium heat until browned. Remove and set aside.
In the same skillet, sauté onions until translucent.
In a baking dish, layer zucchini, sausage, onions, and cheese.
In a bowl, mix milk, butter, salt, and pepper. Pour over the layers in the baking dish.
Top with breadcrumbs.
Bake for 45 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly.
Notes:
Let the casserole rest for 10 minutes before serving.
