Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 500 g Ground Beef
  • 1 Onion chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 Bell Pepper chopped
  • 400 g Canned Tomatoes diced
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • 1 tsp Cumin
  • 200 g Potatoes sliced

Instructions: 

  • Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
  • In a large pan, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned.
  • Add the chopped onion, minced garlic, and bell pepper. Cook until softened.
  • Stir in the canned tomatoes, salt, black pepper, paprika, and cumin. Let it simmer for 10 minutes.
  • In a casserole dish, layer the sliced potatoes at the bottom.
  • Pour the beef mixture over the potatoes, spreading it evenly.
  • Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  • Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes to brown the top.
  • Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes:

This Turkish casserole is perfect for a cozy family dinner. Serve with a side of rice or bread.
