Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb Breakfast sausage
  • 1/4 cup All-purpose flour
  • 2 cups Milk
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Black pepper
  • 6 Eggs
  • 2 cups Shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 can Refrigerated biscuit dough

Instructions: 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a skillet, cook sausage over medium heat until browned. Remove sausage and set aside, leaving drippings in the skillet.
  • Stir in flour into the drippings until blended. Gradually add milk. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened. Stir in salt and pepper. Return sausage to skillet; heat through.
  • In a large bowl, whisk eggs. Pour into a greased 9x13-inch baking dish. Bake for 10 minutes or until eggs are set.
  • Remove from oven. Top with sausage gravy, cheese, and biscuit dough pieces.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes or until biscuits are golden brown.

Notes:

For a spicier version, use hot sausage and add a pinch of red pepper flakes.
