Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 12 oz rotini pasta
  • 1 lb Italian sausage casings removed
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 24 oz marinara sauce
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese grated

Instructions: 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Cook rotini pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  • In a skillet, cook sausage over medium heat until browned. Add onion and garlic, cook until softened.
  • Stir in marinara sauce and let simmer for 5 minutes.
  • In a large bowl, combine cooked pasta, sausage mixture, and half of the mozzarella cheese.
  • Transfer to a baking dish. Top with remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes, until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes:

Feel free to add some veggies like bell peppers or spinach for extra nutrition.
