Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 1 loaf Italian bread sliced

Instructions: 

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, and beaten egg. Mix well and form into meatballs.
  • In a baking dish, layer the sliced Italian bread at the bottom.
  • Place the meatballs on top of the bread slices.
  • Pour marinara sauce over the meatballs and bread.
  • Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese on top.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 40 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes:

For a spicier version, add some red pepper flakes to the marinara sauce.
