Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 bag frozen tater tots

Instructions: 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large skillet, cook the ground beef and onion over medium heat until the beef is no longer pink. Drain any excess fat.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked beef and onion, cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, and 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese.
  • Spread the mixture into a baking dish. Top with an even layer of tater tots.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 30-40 minutes, until the tater tots are golden brown and crispy.
  • Sprinkle the remaining 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese over the top and bake for an additional 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted.
  • Let the casserole cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy!

Notes:

This casserole is great for leftovers and can be frozen for later use.
