In a large skillet, cook the ground sausage over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked sausage, sour cream, cheddar cheese, Monterey Jack cheese, thawed hash browns, cream of mushroom soup, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and spread it out evenly.
Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until the casserole is bubbly and golden brown on top.
