Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 4 cups potatoes, peeled and sliced
  • 1 can tomato soup (10.75 oz)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Instructions: 

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a skillet, cook the ground beef and chopped onion over medium heat until the beef is browned. Drain any excess fat.
  • In a baking dish, layer the sliced potatoes, cooked beef mixture, and tomato soup. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender.
  • Remove the foil, sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top, and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Let the casserole cool for a few minutes before serving.
