Instructions:
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
Place acorn squash halves cut side down on a baking sheet. Bake for 30 minutes.
In a mixing bowl, combine bread crumbs, cheddar cheese, melted butter, salt, and black pepper.
Remove squash from oven, scoop out the flesh, and mix it with the bread crumb mixture.
Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and bake for another 15 minutes until golden brown.
Notes:
Great for a cozy fall dinner.
