Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 loaf French bread cut into cubes
  • 8 oz Cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup Strawberries sliced
  • 6 large Eggs
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup Maple syrup

Instructions: 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and maple syrup.
  • In another bowl, mix the softened cream cheese and sliced strawberries.
  • Layer half of the bread cubes in a greased baking dish. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the bread cubes. Top with the remaining bread cubes.
  • Pour the egg mixture evenly over the bread and cream cheese layers. Press down slightly to ensure the bread absorbs the liquid.
  • Bake for 45 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the casserole is set.
  • Let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy!

Notes:

For a richer flavor, use brioche or challah bread instead of French bread.
