Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and maple syrup.
In another bowl, mix the softened cream cheese and sliced strawberries.
Layer half of the bread cubes in a greased baking dish. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the bread cubes. Top with the remaining bread cubes.
Pour the egg mixture evenly over the bread and cream cheese layers. Press down slightly to ensure the bread absorbs the liquid.
Bake for 45 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the casserole is set.
Let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy!
Notes:
For a richer flavor, use brioche or challah bread instead of French bread.
