Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a saucepan, bring water to a boil. Add grits and cook until thickened, about 5 minutes.
Remove from heat and stir in butter, cheese, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
In a mixing bowl, combine cooked grits with shrimp.
Transfer mixture to a greased baking dish and bake for 30 minutes.
Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes:
For extra flavor, add a dash of hot sauce or some chopped green onions on top before serving.
