Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. Boil the butternut squash in a large pot until tender, about 15 minutes.
3. Drain the squash and transfer to a mixing bowl. Mash until smooth.
4. Stir in the milk, melted butter, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
5. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and bake for 30 minutes, until the top is golden brown.
Notes:
This casserole can be made ahead and reheated before serving.
