Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 4 cups thinly sliced potatoes
  • 2 cups caramelized onions
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Gruyere cheese
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Instructions: 

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Layer half of the sliced potatoes in a greased baking dish.
  • Spread half of the caramelized onions over the potatoes.
  • Pour half of the heavy cream over the onions and potatoes.
  • Sprinkle half of the grated Gruyere cheese on top.
  • Repeat the layers with the remaining potatoes, onions, cream, and cheese.
  • Season with salt and black pepper.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 60 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and the top is golden brown.
  • Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes:

This dish pairs well with a simple green salad.
