thinly sliced potatoes

caramelized onions

heavy cream

grated Gruyere cheese

Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Layer half of the sliced potatoes in a greased baking dish.
Spread half of the caramelized onions over the potatoes.
Pour half of the heavy cream over the onions and potatoes.
Sprinkle half of the grated Gruyere cheese on top.
Repeat the layers with the remaining potatoes, onions, cream, and cheese.
Season with salt and black pepper.
Bake in the preheated oven for 60 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and the top is golden brown.
Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes:
This dish pairs well with a simple green salad.
