Ingredients:

  • 1 lb Shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 lb Scallops
  • 1/2 cup Butter
  • 1/2 cup All-purpose flour
  • 2 cups Milk
  • 1 cup Heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup Sherry
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Paprika
  • 1/4 tsp Cayenne pepper

Instructions: 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the flour and cook, stirring constantly, for about 2 minutes.
  • Gradually whisk in the milk and cream, cooking until the mixture thickens and comes to a boil.
  • Stir in the sherry, salt, paprika, and cayenne pepper. Add the shrimp and scallops, cooking until the seafood is just opaque, about 5 minutes.
  • Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, until bubbly and golden on top.
  • Let the casserole rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes:

This dish pairs well with a crisp green salad and a glass of white wine.
