Ingredients:

  • 1 cup rice uncooked
  • 1 bunch asparagus trimmed and cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese shredded
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 tbsp butter melted
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper

Instructions: 

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the rice, asparagus, cheddar cheese, milk, melted butter, salt, and black pepper.
  • Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and spread it out evenly.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until the top is golden and the rice is cooked through.
  • Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes:

Feel free to add other vegetables or proteins to this casserole for variety.
