Ham and Macaroni Casserole Recipe

Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 2 cups macaroni uncooked
  • 1 cup ham diced
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese shredded
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • to taste salt
  • to taste black pepper

Instructions: 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Cook macaroni according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  • In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in flour and cook for 1-2 minutes. Gradually whisk in milk and cook until thickened.
  • Remove from heat and stir in 1 1/2 cups of cheese until melted. Season with salt and pepper.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine cooked macaroni, ham, and cheese sauce. Mix well.
  • Transfer mixture to a baking dish. Sprinkle remaining cheese on top.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until bubbly and golden brown on top.
  • Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes:

You can add some breadcrumbs on top for extra crunch.
