Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
Place cubed challah bread in the baking dish.
In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, heavy cream, granulated sugar, brown sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
Pour the egg mixture over the bread, making sure all pieces are soaked.
Sprinkle chopped pecans on top if using.
Bake for 45 minutes or until the top is golden and the center is set.
Serve warm with maple syrup.
Notes:
Feel free to add your favorite toppings like fresh berries or whipped cream.
