Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 2 cups uncooked macaroni
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 can diced tomatoes with green chilies
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup crushed tortilla chips

Instructions: 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Cook the macaroni according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  • In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.
  • Add the taco seasoning and diced tomatoes with green chilies to the beef. Stir to combine and cook for a few more minutes.
  • In a large pot, combine the cooked macaroni, beef mixture, milk, sour cream, and 1.5 cups of shredded cheddar cheese. Stir until well mixed.
  • Transfer the mixture to a baking dish. Top with the remaining 0.5 cup of shredded cheddar cheese and crushed tortilla chips.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy!

Notes:

You can add some chopped green onions or jalapeños on top for extra flavor.
