crushed tortilla chips
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Cook the macaroni according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.
Add the taco seasoning and diced tomatoes with green chilies to the beef. Stir to combine and cook for a few more minutes.
In a large pot, combine the cooked macaroni, beef mixture, milk, sour cream, and 1.5 cups of shredded cheddar cheese. Stir until well mixed.
Transfer the mixture to a baking dish. Top with the remaining 0.5 cup of shredded cheddar cheese and crushed tortilla chips.
Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy!
Notes:
You can add some chopped green onions or jalapeños on top for extra flavor.
