Ingredients:

  • 1 lb Ground beef
  • 1 can Sauerkraut drained
  • 1 cup Sour cream
  • 1 cup Shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 medium Onion chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 tsp Caraway seeds
  • to taste Salt and pepper

Instructions: 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.
  • Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook until the onion is translucent.
  • Stir in the sauerkraut, sour cream, and caraway seeds. Mix well.
  • Transfer the mixture to a baking dish. Top with shredded cheddar cheese.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy!

Notes:

This casserole pairs well with a fresh green salad or some crusty bread.
