Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. Cook the bowtie noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
3. In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the diced onion and cook until soft and translucent.
4. In a large bowl, combine the cooked noodles, sour cream, shredded cheddar cheese, cottage cheese, cooked onions, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
5. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and spread it out evenly.
6. Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.
7. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy!
