Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 12 oz bowtie noodles
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup cottage cheese
  • 1 large onion, diced
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Instructions: 

  • 1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • 2. Cook the bowtie noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  • 3. In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the diced onion and cook until soft and translucent.
  • 4. In a large bowl, combine the cooked noodles, sour cream, shredded cheddar cheese, cottage cheese, cooked onions, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
  • 5. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and spread it out evenly.
  • 6. Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.
  • 7. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy!

This casserole is a great way to enjoy the flavors of pierogi without all the work of making them from scratch.
