Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup Frozen peas
  • 6 slices Bacon chopped
  • 1 cup Cheddar cheese shredded
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 2 tbsp Flour
  • 2 tbsp Butter
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Black pepper

Instructions: 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a skillet, cook the chopped bacon until crispy. Remove and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, melt the butter and stir in the flour to make a roux. Cook for 1-2 minutes.
  • Gradually add the milk, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens.
  • Add the shredded cheddar cheese, salt, and black pepper. Stir until the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth.
  • Mix in the frozen peas and cooked bacon.
  • Pour the mixture into a baking dish and bake for 30 minutes, or until bubbly and golden on top.

Notes:

For a vegetarian version, omit the bacon and add more peas or other vegetables.
