Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 4 mirlitons (chayotes), peeled and diced
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 lb crabmeat
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 bell pepper, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper

Instructions: 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Boil mirlitons until tender, then drain and mash.
  • In a skillet, sauté onion, bell pepper, and garlic until soft.
  • Add shrimp to the skillet and cook until pink.
  • Combine mashed mirlitons, sautéed vegetables, shrimp, crabmeat, salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl.
  • Transfer mixture to a baking dish, top with breadcrumbs and Parmesan cheese.
  • Bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown.
