Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a baking dish, layer the sliced potatoes, diced ham, and sliced onions.
In a saucepan, melt the butter and stir in the milk. Pour this mixture over the layered ingredients.
Sprinkle shredded cheese on top and season with salt and pepper to taste.
Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 45 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until the cheese is golden and bubbly.
Let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy!

You can add other vegetables like bell peppers or peas for extra flavor and nutrition.
