Ingredients:

  • 8 slices Bread preferably stale
  • 6 slices Bacon cooked and crumbled
  • 6 units Eggs
  • 2 cups Milk
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1/4 cup Maple Syrup
  • 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp Salt

Instructions: 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Grease a baking dish and set aside.
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, maple syrup, cinnamon, and salt.
  • Layer the bread slices and crumbled bacon in the baking dish.
  • Pour the egg mixture over the bread and bacon, ensuring everything is well-coated.
  • Bake for 45 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the casserole is set.
  • Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes:

For a sweeter touch, you can sprinkle some powdered sugar on top before serving.
