Pizza Sauce
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Cook the elbow macaroni according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes.
Gradually whisk in the milk and cook until the mixture thickens.
Remove from heat and stir in 1 1/2 cups of shredded mozzarella cheese until melted.
Combine the cooked macaroni with the cheese sauce and mix well.
Spread half of the macaroni mixture in a baking dish. Top with half of the pizza sauce and half of the pepperoni slices.
Repeat the layers with the remaining macaroni mixture, pizza sauce, and pepperoni slices.
Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese on top.
Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
Let the casserole cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes:
Feel free to add your favorite pizza toppings like mushrooms, bell peppers, or olives.
