Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can diced tomatoes (14.5 oz)
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • to taste salt and pepper

Instructions: 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
  • Add chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook until softened.
  • Stir in diced tomatoes, beef broth, frozen peas, cooked rice, ground cumin, and dried oregano. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Transfer mixture to a baking dish. Bake in preheated oven for 30 minutes.
  • Remove from oven and let cool slightly before serving.

Notes:

Feel free to add olives or raisins for a traditional twist.
