Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a skillet, cook the sausage over medium heat until browned. Remove sausage and set aside, leaving the drippings in the skillet.
Add the flour to the drippings and cook for 1-2 minutes.
Gradually whisk in the milk, cooking until the mixture thickens. Season with salt and pepper.
Return the sausage to the skillet and stir to combine.
In a mixing bowl, prepare the Bisquick mix according to package instructions.
Pour the sausage gravy into a baking dish, then drop spoonfuls of the Bisquick mix on top.
Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown.
Notes:
For a spicier version, use hot sausage and add a pinch of red pepper flakes.
