Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 2 cups Bisquick mix
  • 1 pound Breakfast sausage
  • 2 cups Milk
  • 1/4 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black pepper

Instructions: 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a skillet, cook the sausage over medium heat until browned. Remove sausage and set aside, leaving the drippings in the skillet.
  • Add the flour to the drippings and cook for 1-2 minutes.
  • Gradually whisk in the milk, cooking until the mixture thickens. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Return the sausage to the skillet and stir to combine.
  • In a mixing bowl, prepare the Bisquick mix according to package instructions.
  • Pour the sausage gravy into a baking dish, then drop spoonfuls of the Bisquick mix on top.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown.

Notes:

For a spicier version, use hot sausage and add a pinch of red pepper flakes.
