Apple Pie French Toast Casserole

Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 loaf French bread cut into cubes
  • 6 eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 cups apple pie filling
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter melted

Instructions: 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon.
  • Add the bread cubes to the egg mixture and stir to coat.
  • Pour half of the bread mixture into a greased baking dish. Spread the apple pie filling over the top. Add the remaining bread mixture on top.
  • In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar and melted butter. Drizzle over the casserole.
  • Bake for 45 minutes, or until the top is golden and the casserole is set.
  • Let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy!

Notes:

Best served warm. You can also add a drizzle of maple syrup or a dollop of whipped cream on top.
