Ingredients:

  • 1 lb Ground Beef
  • 1 cup Onion, chopped
  • 1 cup Green Bell Pepper, chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 cup Ketchup
  • 2 tbsp Brown Sugar
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • 4 cups Mashed Potatoes
  • 1 cup Cheddar Cheese, shredded

Instructions: 

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.
  • Add the chopped onion, green bell pepper, and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook until the vegetables are tender.
  • Stir in the ketchup, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce. Simmer for a few minutes until the mixture thickens.
  • Spread the beef mixture evenly in a baking dish.
  • Top with mashed potatoes, spreading them evenly over the beef mixture.
  • Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes:

Feel free to add other vegetables like corn or peas for extra flavor and nutrition.
