Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.
Add the chopped onion, green bell pepper, and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook until the vegetables are tender.
Stir in the ketchup, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce. Simmer for a few minutes until the mixture thickens.
Spread the beef mixture evenly in a baking dish.
Top with mashed potatoes, spreading them evenly over the beef mixture.
Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top.
Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes:
Feel free to add other vegetables like corn or peas for extra flavor and nutrition.
