Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a skillet, cook the ground sausage over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.
In a large bowl, mix the cooked sausage, cream of mushroom soup, milk, and chopped onion.
Spread the sausage mixture evenly in a baking dish.
Top with an even layer of frozen tater tots.
Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes or until the tater tots are golden brown and crispy.
Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the top and bake for an additional 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted.
Let the casserole cool for a few minutes before serving.
