Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add chopped onion and cook until softened.
Add sliced smoked sausage to the skillet and cook until browned.
In a large bowl, combine cooked sausage and onions, frozen pierogi, sour cream, and shredded cheddar cheese. Mix well.
Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and spread evenly.
Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until bubbly and golden brown on top.
Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
