Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 2 cups peas
  • 2 cups carrots, sliced
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • to taste salt and pepper

Instructions: 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine peas, carrots, and shredded cheddar cheese.
  • In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes. Gradually add the milk, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens.
  • Pour the sauce over the peas and carrots mixture. Stir to combine. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Transfer the mixture to a casserole dish. Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.
  • Let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy!

Notes:

This casserole is a great side dish or even a main course. Feel free to add other vegetables or proteins to make it your own.
