Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large mixing bowl, combine the potatoes, cheddar cheese, sour cream, cream of chicken soup, onion, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish. Drizzle the melted butter over the top.
Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until the top is golden and the potatoes are tender.
