Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 4 lbs Russet potatoes peeled and cubed
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 0.5 cup Butter melted
  • 1 cup Sour cream
  • 2 tsp Salt
  • 0.5 tsp Black pepper
  • 1 cup Shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tbsp Chives chopped

Instructions: 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Boil the potatoes in a large pot of salted water until tender, about 15 minutes. Drain well.
  • In a large bowl, whip the potatoes with a mixer until smooth. Add milk, butter, sour cream, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  • Spread the potato mixture into a greased casserole dish. Top with shredded cheddar cheese.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Garnish with chopped chives before serving.

Notes:

For a twist, try adding some garlic powder or roasted garlic to the potato mixture.
