Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 loaf French bread cut into cubes
  • 1.5 cups Blueberries fresh or frozen
  • 8 Eggs
  • 2 cups Milk
  • 1 cup Heavy cream
  • 0.5 cup Sugar
  • 2 tbsp Lemon zest
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 0.5 tsp Cinnamon
  • 0.25 tsp Salt

Instructions: 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish.
  • Place half of the bread cubes in the baking dish. Top with blueberries, then add the remaining bread cubes.
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, heavy cream, sugar, lemon zest, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt.
  • Pour the egg mixture over the bread and blueberries. Press down gently to ensure the bread absorbs the liquid.
  • Bake for 45 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the center is set.
  • Let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy!

Notes:

Best served warm with a drizzle of maple syrup or a dusting of powdered sugar.
