Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 cups mashed potatoes

Instructions: 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
  • Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook until the onion is translucent.
  • Stir in the cream of mushroom soup, beef broth, and sliced mushrooms. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  • Transfer the mixture to a baking dish. Spread the mashed potatoes over the top.
  • Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the mashed potatoes.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Notes:

Let the casserole rest for a few minutes before serving.
