Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 bag frozen tater tots
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper

Instructions: 

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a skillet, cook the ground beef and chopped onion over medium heat until the beef is browned and the onion is tender. Drain any excess fat.
  • Stir in the cream of mushroom soup, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
  • Transfer the beef mixture to a baking dish. Spread it out evenly.
  • Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the beef mixture.
  • Arrange the frozen tater tots in a single layer on top of the cheese.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden brown and crispy.
  • Let the casserole cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy!

Notes:

This casserole is perfect for a family dinner or a potluck. You can also add some chopped pickles or a drizzle of ketchup and mustard for an extra cheeseburger flavor.
