Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
Grease a baking dish and place the bread cubes in it.
In a mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, heavy cream, sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract.
Pour the egg mixture over the bread cubes, ensuring all pieces are coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight.
In another bowl, mix flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Sprinkle the topping over the soaked bread cubes.
Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes or until the top is golden and crispy.
Notes:
Best served warm with a drizzle of maple syrup.
