Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 loaf French bread cut into cubes
  • 6 eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 0.5 cup sugar
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 3 apples peeled, cored, and sliced
  • 0.5 cup brown sugar
  • 0.5 cup butter melted

Instructions: 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Grease a baking dish and place the bread cubes in it.
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, heavy cream, sugar, vanilla extract, and cinnamon.
  • Pour the egg mixture over the bread cubes, making sure all pieces are soaked.
  • Layer the apple slices on top of the bread mixture.
  • In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar and melted butter. Drizzle this over the apples.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes or until the top is golden and the casserole is set.
  • Let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy!

Notes:

This casserole can be prepared the night before and baked in the morning.
