Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
In a frying pan, melt the butter and brown the meat chunks. Set aside.
In the same pan, sauté the onions and garlic until soft.
Layer half of the sliced potatoes in a casserole dish.
Add a layer of the browned meat, followed by the sautéed onions and garlic.
Season with thyme, salt, and pepper.
Pour the beef broth over the layers.
Top with the remaining sliced potatoes.
Cover the dish with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the potatoes are golden and crispy.
Notes:
This dish is perfect for a cozy family dinner. Serve with a side of green vegetables or a fresh salad.
