Ingredients:

  • 1 loaf Challah bread cut into cubes
  • 8 Eggs
  • 2 cups Milk
  • 1/2 cup Heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup Molasses
  • 1/4 cup Brown sugar
  • 1 tsp Ground ginger
  • 1 tsp Ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp Ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp Ground cloves
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp Salt

Instructions: 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Grease a baking dish and add the cubed challah bread.
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, heavy cream, molasses, brown sugar, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, vanilla extract, and salt.
  • Pour the mixture over the bread cubes, ensuring all pieces are soaked.
  • Bake for 45 minutes or until the top is golden and the center is set.
  • Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes:

Perfect for a holiday breakfast or brunch. Serve with a dusting of powdered sugar or a drizzle of maple syrup.
