Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 4 pieces Bratwurst
  • 2 cups Sauerkraut
  • 8 oz Egg Noodles
  • 1 cup Sour Cream
  • 1 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese
  • 1 tbsp Butter
  • 1 small Onion, chopped
  • 1 tsp Caraway Seeds
  • to taste Salt and Pepper

Instructions: 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  • In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and cook until softened.
  • Add the bratwurst to the skillet and cook until browned.
  • In a large bowl, combine the cooked noodles, sauerkraut, sour cream, shredded cheddar cheese, caraway seeds, salt, and pepper.
  • Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and spread evenly. Place the browned bratwurst on top.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, until the casserole is bubbly and golden brown on top.
  • Let it cool slightly before serving. Enjoy!
