Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 4 bratwursts
  • 2 cups sauerkraut drained
  • 1 cup shredded cheese cheddar or Swiss
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 tbsp mustard Dijon or yellow
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 2 tbsp butter

Instructions: 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a skillet, cook bratwursts until browned. Remove and slice into pieces.
  • In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté onions until translucent.
  • In a large bowl, mix sauerkraut, sour cream, mustard, and sautéed onions.
  • Place the sauerkraut mixture in a baking dish. Top with sliced bratwursts and shredded cheese.
  • Bake for 30 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.

Notes:

Serve hot with a side of mashed potatoes or crusty bread.
