Ingredients:

  • 12 oz spaghetti uncooked
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 can diced tomatoes 14.5 oz can
  • 1 can kidney beans 15 oz can, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can tomato sauce 8 oz can
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Instructions: 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
  • Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook until the onion is soft.
  • Stir in the diced tomatoes, kidney beans, tomato sauce, chili powder, ground cumin, salt, and black pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked spaghetti and the chili mixture. Mix well.
  • Transfer the mixture to a baking dish. Top with shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheese.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy!

Notes:

This casserole is perfect for a family dinner or a potluck. Feel free to add more veggies or spices to suit your taste.
