Soy sauce

ground

Beef broth

Carrots

Bell peppers
chopped

Vegetable oil
Instructions:
Heat the vegetable oil in a large pot over medium heat.
Add the beef chunks and brown on all sides. Remove and set aside.
In the same pot, add the onion, garlic, and ginger. Sauté until fragrant.
Stir in the soy sauce, brown sugar, thyme, and allspice. Cook for another minute.
Return the beef to the pot and add the beef broth. Bring to a boil.
Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 1 hour.
Add the carrots and bell peppers. Cook for an additional 30 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender.
Serve hot with rice or your favorite side.
Notes:
This dish is even better the next day after the flavors have melded together.
