Instructions:
Heat the oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the beef and brown on all sides.
Add the chopped onion and garlic to the pot. Cook until the onion is soft.
Stir in the chopped tomatoes and tomato paste. Cook for a few minutes.
Add the paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
Pour in the beef broth. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 1 hour.
Add the sliced carrots and cubed potatoes. Continue to simmer for another 30 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender.
Adjust seasoning if needed. Serve hot.
Notes:
This stew is great served with rice or bread.
