Ingredients:  

Stew Ingredients

  • 1 lb Beef Stew Meat
  • 4 cups Beef Broth
  • 2 cups Diced Potatoes
  • 1 cup Chopped Carrots
  • 1 cup Chopped Celery
  • 1 cup Chopped Onion
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp Tomato Paste
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1 tsp Dried Thyme
  • 1 tsp Dried Rosemary

Bisquick Drop Biscuits Ingredients

  • 2 cups Bisquick Mix
  • 2/3 cup Milk

Instructions: 

  • 1. In a large pot, brown the beef stew meat over medium heat.
  • 2. Add the chopped onion and garlic to the pot and cook until softened.
  • 3. Stir in the tomato paste, salt, pepper, thyme, and rosemary.
  • 4. Add the beef broth, potatoes, carrots, and celery. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 45-60 minutes.
  • 5. While the stew is simmering, prepare the Bisquick drop biscuits. In a mixing bowl, combine Bisquick mix and milk until a soft dough forms.
  • 6. Drop spoonfuls of the dough onto a baking sheet and bake according to Bisquick package instructions.
  • 7. Serve the stew hot with the freshly baked Bisquick drop biscuits.

Notes:

Feel free to add other vegetables like peas or corn to the stew.
