Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 whole Chicken cut into pieces
  • 2 tbsp Vegetable Oil
  • 1 large Onion chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 tsp Thyme dried
  • 2 cups Chicken Broth
  • 1 cup Carrots sliced
  • 1 cup Potatoes diced
  • 1 cup Flour for dumplings
  • 1/2 cup Water for dumplings
  • 1 tsp Salt to taste
  • 1/2 tsp Black Pepper to taste

Instructions: 

  • 1. Heat the oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the chicken pieces and brown on all sides.
  • 2. Add the chopped onion, minced garlic, and thyme. Cook until the onion is soft.
  • 3. Pour in the chicken broth, add the carrots and potatoes. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes.
  • 4. In a mixing bowl, combine flour and water to make the dumpling dough. Form small balls and drop them into the stew.
  • 5. Cover the pot and cook for another 20 minutes, or until the dumplings are cooked through. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
