Tomato Paste
Instructions:
Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
Add beef and brown on all sides. Remove and set aside.
In the same pot, add onion, fennel, and garlic. Cook until softened.
Stir in tomato paste, salt, and pepper.
Return beef to the pot and add beef broth. Bring to a boil.
Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 1.5 hours or until beef is tender.
Notes:
Serve hot with crusty bread.
